While this is not a precise definition, it is the one that I was introduced to when first shown this character. It represents qualities I strive to bring into my work along with qualities I look for in my clients.

The character on the left (T with two crossbars) denotes action.
The character on the upper right (cross) denotes balance.
The box at center right denotes four kinds of intelligence - knowledge, logic, common sense, and intuition.
The character at lower right (U with three dots) denotes heart or compassion.

Put together: Balanced action, informed by four kinds of intelligence, grounded in compassion.

Assisting Other Attorneys

Knowing how to work with injury claims, insurance companies, adjusters, and insurance defense lawyers is effectively a sub-specialty which requires specialized knowledge to effectively represent people who have been injured in an accident through no fault of their own and maximize their recovery. If, as a lawyer, you seldom represent injured plaintiffs but an injury case comes in the door and you choose to represent the client without assistance, you are swimming with sharks and risk hurting yourself and your client. I can help.

Here's a quick set of questions to assess whether you have the legal knowledge base to effectively assist an injured client:

  • Is an insurance company / insurance defendant entitled to an unrestricted Independent Medical Examination of your client as part of defending a claim or lawsuit?
  • Is an insurance company / insurance defendant entitled to solicit and receive Authorizations to Release Medical, Employment, and Tax records from a claimant?
  • Is an insurance company / insurance defendant entitled to add terms to an accepted statutory offer of settlement?
  • Do you know how to get the statements of auto accident witnesses and involved parties made to the investigating officer?
  • Do you know an effective definition of causation for use with medical experts?
  • Do you know what Colossus is?
  • What is a comfort letter?
  • Can you make an uninsured motorist claim even though you didn't exhaust the limits of the underlying policy?

If you don't know the answers to these questions, we should talk. I’ve helped many lawyers like you. Call me, or send me an e-mail.
